Here today gone tomorrow,
never forgotten, through pain or sorrow
all the trials and troubles,
and the birthdays and bubbles,
your smile, your encouragement,
your warmth and nourishment,
you've raised me as well as any mother could
I love you as much as any son should
Thank you for you helping hand
for grabbing me when I fell in sand,
when I hurt me knee and couldn't stand,
for sun screen when I was over tanned,
my sturdy runway when I could not land.
My words are seldom,
though I love you ever so,
I will prove to you I am no bum,
and be the son you wish to show.
Your lessons taught are forever ingrained,
like smoking cigarettes will keep teeth stained,
from speaking Spanish and learning about my roots,
to growing trends current affairs and stylish suits,
You are my mother,
a woman one of a kind,
I love you like no other,
You give me peace of mind.
So in this time of Mother's day,
or in celebration of your birthday,
I hope you cherish these words,
words that are hard for me to say.
Through tough times and times filled with joy,
remember I am your child your son your boy.
So happy day whatever day this may fall under,
May your days be filled with extra joys and wonder.
I love you mom, more then I tend to show,
I love you so much, but you need to know.
I love you when I am here or on the go,
I loved you every day as you watched me grow,
You helped me when my clothes were torn,
you patched up the holes as only you could sew,
Kissed my scrapped knee and gave it a tender blow,
You explained that yellow meant caution or slow,
Taught me how to cook and let me lick the cookie dough,
Am I the perfect son?
The answer is simply no.
Sometimes my words are harsh and they hurt,
I am sorry for every tear I have made you shed,
It is no excuse those words out of rage I blurt,
Those words were lies deceit and anger bred,
The person who kept me fed,
who gave me a roof and bed,
when problems arose never fled,
So to my mother I wish you bliss,
a poem from the heart as well as a kiss,
I love you mother dearest and I hope you know this.

A Poem
The sultry sea
is fun to see
While I am in the company
of you.
All alone,
sad I was
and often sullen blue,
now with you together
we are a lovable pair of two.
Star gazing
bold and brazen
or simply awe struck in amazement.
you are the goal
I strive through the maze
the dark and stormy haze
to look upon your gaze
and get that smile.
is fun to see
While I am in the company
of you.
All alone,
sad I was
and often sullen blue,
now with you together
we are a lovable pair of two.
Star gazing
bold and brazen
or simply awe struck in amazement.
you are the goal
I strive through the maze
the dark and stormy haze
to look upon your gaze
and get that smile.

What is a friend?
People take this friend title too lightly. I for one take it very seriously. People say I have a lot of friends, but what is a friend? In all honesty...do I really have any worthwhile friends? Does anyone consider me a true friend?
Let's take a look at the criteria for being a friend in my eyes.
To me a friend is someone you can trust. You can call them up and more often then naught, they will answer or even if they miss your call they will call you back to see what you wanted.
A friend has your back, always. I'm not saying they should help you rob a bank or something. Well, maybe... A friend should always try and point you in the right direction. They should either be able to defend your case when you are right, or point out your mistakes when you are wrong. Also a friend should be able to accept criticism and knowledge from another friend with open ears. Never ignore what a friend tell you.
A friend is someone that helps you. No matter the situation, whether it be a simple task or one of your most dire situations; a friend should know that someone close is in need of help and should oblige. Friends shouldn't just look out for themselves, they should try and better other friends, always.
A friend should never lie to another friend about trivial things. This is where that trust factor comes in. Every situation is not going to be a bed of roses, but being a friend when one of those serious situations occur, one who calls themselves a friend should never hide behind a lie. Lies are the cancer of any strong friendship. You should never lie to a friend... unless it's for their own good
Friends talk to each other on a daily or at worst weekly basis. Friends check in with each other. If you are a friend you shouldn't have to be told or made to want to talk or hang out with your other friends. It should be something you want to do on your own accord. Friends also know how hard this rule is to honor all the time. They understand that they aren't the only person on this planet.
Friends look past your shortcomings. No one is perfect, but being a friend means to understand that you and all of the people that are close to you have faults. We need each other in this game called life. No matter how successful you are, having friends makes life that much more fun and easier.
You should always take your friends seriously. Problems happen in any relationship, but it takes a true friend to admit they are wrong. If you know something that could put a strain on one of your friendships do not let that object snowball into something disastrous. Friends should be able to work out any misunderstanding.
If someone is your friend then you want them in your life. It's as simple as that. Being a friend of someone means they won't over look you in almost any situation. This is an important one because many people who you call friends are not very considerate. They call you when it is convenient for them and them only.
Friends understand that all these points and criteria marks are very hard to achieve. We all have separate lives we attend to, and it becomes harder and harder to spend the same amount of quality time with your closest friends as the years begin to rack up.
Everything written here is just a microscopic check list about the fundamentals of being a friend. Sure, it's hard to abide by all these rules all the time, but it shouldn't be impossible either.
~
So, is this someone you would consider a friend?
Someone who you never see. Someone who ignore your calls and text messages. Someone who lies to you and does not admit their faults. Someone who only contacts you on their time and their time alone.
Is that a friend? I think someone needs to re-look at that title and open their eyes about its true meaning.

To love and to not be loved.
Needless to say I am very happy with my relationship right now. Though, in the past I was looking for love in all the wrong places. I have been looking for a perfect mate for the longest time, and through that search I have stumbled along the way with many a women in my day.
I think it's about time that I go back and dwell on some of those failed relationships or would be relationships and write a little about each situation to the best of my recollection. If anyone does read this, I imagine it would be funny to have seen how often I have failed in my search for a girlfriend. It sometimes was very ugly, and in certain instance I looked very desperate, but in the end it was all a learning experience and I can now cope with that shame of my youth and begin to appreciate all that I have right now.
Now as far as women, I think the list will be long enough to do daily entries like my the month of RPGs I did in January. I should make a list or something.

Recap of the 31 days of RPGs
Well...
I didn't post every day, but I did get all 31 games within January's boundaries. So the project was a success in my mind. Let me break it down to see what consoles gathered the most rpgs I wrote about.
Gameboy - 3
Gamecube - 1
Personal Computer - 1
Playstation - 10
Playstation 2 - 3
Sega Genesis - 2
Super Nintendo - 11
Well it seems that the golden era of rpg was during the SNES days. Eleven of the thirty one rpgs were from that console, but the PlayStation wasn't far behind. It recorded ten of the thirty one games, falling one one game shy of tying the SNES with the most rpgs on the list. After those two games, every other system on the list never made it past three games. It's safe to say much of my childhood memories and nostalgia lies in the games I played when I was younger. The newer generation had some gems, but nothing compared to the oldies.
So there it is. That's my list. And look! Someone made a favorite rpg list and FF7 was nowhere to be found! One series I missed out on was the Fire Emblem series I'd like to give a small shout out to those games, because they are all dope.
It was a fun experiment. I got to write about the stuff that is close to my heart. It was a tad challenging, but in the end it was not hard writing about these games. I plan to do more of these. I think failed relationships is going to be the next topic, but I'm going to skip doing a project in February.
Adios for now. Hope you had fun reading about this stuff. I know I had fun writing it all.

#31
This is it folks. Time to wrap this shiznit up!
Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past (Originally released in 1992 on the SNES.)
Oh come now, you don't think I could really make this list and leave out any Zelda game did you? I grew up with these games, and I don't care what anyone says, they are considered rpgs in my eyes. You collect items, monsters have a set number of hits to die, you gain health as you progress throughout the game, and the game is set in a fantasy world where all those rpg cliches exist in full form.
A Link to the Past was the first Zelda game on the SNES and turned out to be the only game of the series to make it to that console. After the first two Zelda games, the fans wanted something bigger and better from Nintendo, and they delivered. This game offers everyone the fans loved about the first Zelda game with a boost of awesomeness. The same top-down perspective from the original with enhanced graphics, obviously.
This game is just delivered in a way that makes you want to never put your controller down and keep exploring and discovering all the new and interesting items and worlds. ALttP has iconic music, and all the characters from the series you have or will grow to love. Link, the staple in every Zelda game is a young lad who is stuck at home while his uncle goes out and explores. Sitting at home was never any of the Link's strong points, so soon after he leaves, Link decides to follow him. He finds his uncle wounded, and his uncle offers up his sword and shield. This is where Link's adventure truly begins. He soon meets and rescues the princess of Hyrule, Zelda. From there he must go out and collect pendants in order to break the seal of the master sword. The master sword is the only weapon that is capable of defeating the evil wizard Agahnim.
As you journey around Hyrule, you meet many friends and foes. You also start every game with only three hearts which serve as a life bar to Link. To get stronger and live through tough situations you have to find the hidden heart containers. Collecting four of them will grant you an extra heart in your life bar. Also, when you beat the boss of a dungeon you will get a full heart container and that will grant you one heart automatically.Every dungeon also hides a new item for Link to use. These items are pivotal for completing the game, and most are new ideas that have since shown up in every game since. Items such as the hookshot, flippers, and the power gloves can all be found in the later games.
Link's adventures seem as though they will never end. I can smell it in the air that one day they will reverse the roles and have a game where Zelda has to go out and find a captured Link. But until then, we get a game that has survived every consoles trial and continues to produce great games for each system it comes out on. ALttP still remains my favorite of the series, but that's not to say that there are many games that are close to my heart and serve as classics in their own accord.
There's just something about the setting in a LttP. The music sets the tone very well, the characters are all so familiar, the dungeons are classics, the items are fun to play around with. Like my brother, this is a game I could and do play a lot. I think he has eclipsed me as far as number of times replaying this game, but we both enjoy it that much. It is, in all forms of the definition: a timeless classic.
