Here today gone tomorrow,
never forgotten, through pain or sorrow
all the trials and troubles,
and the birthdays and bubbles,
your smile, your encouragement,
your warmth and nourishment,
you've raised me as well as any mother could
I love you as much as any son should
Thank you for you helping hand
for grabbing me when I fell in sand,
when I hurt me knee and couldn't stand,
for sun screen when I was over tanned,
my sturdy runway when I could not land.
My words are seldom,
though I love you ever so,
I will prove to you I am no bum,
and be the son you wish to show.
Your lessons taught are forever ingrained,
like smoking cigarettes will keep teeth stained,
from speaking Spanish and learning about my roots,
to growing trends current affairs and stylish suits,
You are my mother,
a woman one of a kind,
I love you like no other,
You give me peace of mind.
So in this time of Mother's day,
or in celebration of your birthday,
I hope you cherish these words,
words that are hard for me to say.
Through tough times and times filled with joy,
remember I am your child your son your boy.
So happy day whatever day this may fall under,
May your days be filled with extra joys and wonder.
I love you mom, more then I tend to show,
I love you so much, but you need to know.
I love you when I am here or on the go,
I loved you every day as you watched me grow,
You helped me when my clothes were torn,
you patched up the holes as only you could sew,
Kissed my scrapped knee and gave it a tender blow,
You explained that yellow meant caution or slow,
Taught me how to cook and let me lick the cookie dough,
Am I the perfect son?
The answer is simply no.
Sometimes my words are harsh and they hurt,
I am sorry for every tear I have made you shed,
It is no excuse those words out of rage I blurt,
Those words were lies deceit and anger bred,
The person who kept me fed,
who gave me a roof and bed,
when problems arose never fled,
So to my mother I wish you bliss,
a poem from the heart as well as a kiss,
I love you mother dearest and I hope you know this.

A Poem
The sultry sea
is fun to see
While I am in the company
of you.
All alone,
sad I was
and often sullen blue,
now with you together
we are a lovable pair of two.
Star gazing
bold and brazen
or simply awe struck in amazement.
you are the goal
I strive through the maze
the dark and stormy haze
to look upon your gaze
and get that smile.
is fun to see
While I am in the company
of you.
All alone,
sad I was
and often sullen blue,
now with you together
we are a lovable pair of two.
Star gazing
bold and brazen
or simply awe struck in amazement.
you are the goal
I strive through the maze
the dark and stormy haze
to look upon your gaze
and get that smile.
